Abstract Submission
Overview
Abstracts are invited for posters for display at the East Midlands Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine Conference, to be held on 13–14 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nottingham. Abstracts should describe work performed which relates to critical care or perioperative medicine.
Closing date for abstract submission: Friday 5 September 2026
If selected, you will be asked to produce a poster for the meeting (hybrid format). The final decision on posters rests with the judging panel and candidates will be notified by 15 September 2026. If selected to produce a poster you are not required to attend; however, if you would like to, the lead author will receive free delegate registration for both days. The judges will further select up to five candidates to give an oral presentation in person; those selected will receive free registration for both days.
Eligibility
Open to medical students, foundation doctors, anaesthetists and intensivists in training, SAS doctors, Anaesthesia Associates, and ACPs in critical care.
Prizes
- 1st prize: £500
- 2nd prize: £250
- 3rd prize: £125
- All invited poster presenters will receive a certificate.
How to Enter
- Submit a copy of your abstract as an attachment to abstracts@midlandsmedicalconferences.org along with a signed copy of the form on page 2.
- Please ensure you follow the abstract preparation guidelines on page 3; submissions not following the format may be disqualified.
