Registration now open:
April Well-Being Retreat & Scientific Meeting
Registration is now live for the April Well-Being Retreat and Scientific Meeting, taking place on 23–24 April. This two-day event brings together high-quality scientific discussion with dedicated time for reflection, wellbeing and connection — designed specifically for healthcare professionals.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural retreat, the 2026 programme once again combines a full scientific meeting with structured wellbeing sessions, creating space to step back from the pressures of clinical life while engaging with thought-provoking ideas and practical tools.
Scientific Meeting – 23 April
The scientific meeting opens on the morning of Wednesday 23rd April, beginning with registration and breakfast, followed by a full programme of expert talks, discussion and workshops.
The day includes presentations on:
Conducting large international clinical trials
Research as a driver of clinical excellence
Navigating uncertainty in perioperative counselling
Psychological pre-habilitation
Mind, body and spirit approaches to medicine
Purpose, meaning and human happiness in healthcare
Sessions are delivered by a multidisciplinary faculty of experienced clinicians, researchers and educators, with regular opportunities for questions, discussion and interaction with exhibitors throughout the day.
The afternoon programme places particular emphasis on reflection and purpose in medicine, including interactive workshops and sessions exploring professional identity, motivation and wellbeing in modern healthcare practice.
The scientific meeting concludes mid-afternoon, allowing delegates time to enjoy a guided walk or free time before dinner.
Well-Being Retreat – 23–24 April
The wellbeing retreat element runs alongside and beyond the scientific programme, offering a carefully curated set of sessions focused on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Activities include:
Relaxing evening yoga
Morning energising yoga
A mindfulness workshop
A sound bath session
There is also generous free time built into the programme, allowing delegates to relax, reflect, or make use of the hotel’s facilities. For those who wish, there is the option to stay on after check-out on the final day at no additional cost.
A Different Kind of Meeting
Feedback from last year’s event highlighted how valuable it was to combine traditional scientific learning with protected time for wellbeing, reflection and peer connection. Delegates particularly valued the relaxed pace, supportive atmosphere and opportunity to step away from day-to-day pressures while still engaging in meaningful professional development.
Whether you attend the full retreat and scientific meeting or choose a single element, this event offers a rare opportunity to pause, reconnect with your purpose, and return to practice refreshed.
